Venezuelan Rice Chicha (Horchata)




 Ingredients:

 1 cup of white rice (185 g)
 7 cups of water (1.75 l)
 2 cups of milk (500 ml)
 1 can of sweet condensed milk (370 g)
 ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence (3 g)
 2 tablespoons of sugar (15 g)
 Crushed ice
 Ground cinnamon

 Preparation:

To start, the day before, wash the rice and place it with two cups of water, let it soak overnight. The next day, drain the rice.

Place the rice and the remaining 5 cups of water in a saucepan.  Bring to a boil over low / moderate heat, until the rice is very soft.  This process takes about 40 minutes.
   
   Blend the preparation and pour into a jar or a large container.  Add the milk and condensed milk and stir well.

Finally, add the ice cubes and vanilla essence.  Let it cool in the fridge.
    
   Serve with more ice and ground cinnamon to your liking. Disfruten!!
