Ingredients:
100gr Butter
150gr Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup of Milk
325gr All-Purpose Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
3 Red or Green Apples
1 Tsp of ground Cinnamon
Lemon Zest
1/2 Cup Sugar for the Caramel
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 325F (125C)
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until golden brown, pour this caramel into a greased pan, we like to use a square silicone mold.
Cut the apples into thin strips and place them on top of the caramel once it is cold.
In the Mixer, beat together butter and sugar until softened. Add the eggs one at time, then add the lemon zest.
Whisk together flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
Add the flour mix alternating with the milk, add vanilla to the mix.
Add the rest of the cut apples and stir, pour batter over the mold and bake for approximately 50- 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Let it cool a few minutes and serve while it is still warm. Disfuten!!
